Cool Lancer pic from Jambooree 2002

I will try to attach or insert a picture of a modded 2002 Lancer sedan. Very nice car, I didn't get any interior pictures which was a mistake.

Very nice car. I only recently done work experience at AutObarn and we ended up installing over $5500 on a stereo set-up in a Lancer 4-Door with a EVO 5 bodykit and lowered. We put to Rockford Subs behind the rear seats which you can see through a perspex window in the boot, a Rockford Amp on one side of the boot (also viewable through a perspex window) and on the other side a distubtion block and soon to be a small Rockford Sub. The power cable was 19mm One very big cable. It alone was $500. We we finished it was amazing. He had splits in the front aswell as tweeters and a Rockford cd-player. It cost him $1000 for us to install it. It took us nearly one and a half days. But it was worth it. Listening to it when we finished was so sweeeeet.

Cheers

No, its not a Mirage, its a old Lancer. We never got any Sedan Mirage's down here. It can't be American either because you can see a 5 inch Tacho on the left side of the car in the third picture.

Cheers

The "Mirage" was only called Mirage in the US, to most of the countries around the world, it's called Lancer. In Taiwan, Virage.

Seen to many of those lancers in Aus.. all use the same Enkei wheels damn it.

I have an article on who actually turbo-charges them, its a $5000 Kit i believe.. not worth it though.

I have been informed that this car makes 160Kw on 8 psi boost! Apparently it was dyno tested approx 2 weeks ago, where and what type of dyno I do not know

If this is so, this would be VERY fast as these things weigh next to nothing, well more or less!

The car actually makes 184.3kw. It was put on the dyno at the Brock Shop in Brisbane, and YES it does only run 8 pounds of boost. Ralliart Queensland built and tested this car, so you can be sure that the quality is good too. The supercharger is not the only modification, but it is the largest.

Mivec

Thank you for documenting the facts. That CERTAINLY is impressive. I recall and it is in the picture that is still has the stock headers, very good performance. Exhaust was larger but all in all quite stock looking apart from large blower. I would say the air flow meter "restrictor" is gone and apart from computer and cam that'd be about it. Ignition coils/leads are stock. Also of note I think, is that this was achieved with P/D supercharger, are there any higher figures anyplace else from a turbo conversion??

With the reasonable weight difference and providing this machine could get traction it may well give an Evo a run for its money.

So to all out there who have posted replys saying the 4G93 is "not worth it", were you sure of your facts??? Check turbocharging thread to see what I mean.

Congratulations to the tuners of the "Green Machine"

A question for Mivec

How much NOS does the "Green Machine" use??

This would bring on some extra horses that the P/D supercharger would otherwise struggle to make
