Most powerful 4G93 SOHC there is

Thought us Mitsubishi people could maintain a thread about the most powerful 4G93's we come across. Turbo, supercharged, N/A or Nitrous is OK. I reckon we will see figures in the high 200's at the wheels for the more radical turbo jobs

Power measured AT WHEELS (in either Hp or Kw or both)

I will start it with my car

Lancer 2002 4G93, SOHC supercharged 10psi boost

180hp/134Kw at wheels

Measure it in kW, not hp.

It seems he's gotta use slicks to get that time. And bloody wide ones!

Pretty sure its 11.72 or 11.82.. www.fullboost.com.au can tell you, go to drag-racing, then records ( i think it was) it'll tell you the AWD, and FWD records in Australia

RPW has a fully built unit in Toowoomba Qld which has somewhere around 240hp at the front wheels on 14 psi boost. THis engine was a rpw full race spec engine designed for in excess of 18 psi boost but I don't know how much further the customer went with it.

Last time I heard he was getting rid of the microtech computer (Thank god) and replacing it with a haltech computer to get some better tuning out of it and then wind the boost up.

Only problem is he is limited to a 320hp Garret GT-28 ball bearing turbo on it and ran out of money.

I have a dyno printout floating around somewhere.

We recently just finished also tuning a 1.8 stock engine lancer and running 10 psi boost with a 250hp garret ball bearing turbo the vehicle put out 193hp at the front wheels using the greddy e-manage, larger injectors and a RX7 rotary top mount intercooler remounted in the front bumper.

Car drives wonderfully and all on a completre stocko engine.

Thats all I can think about this moment but I am sure I can come up with some more results if I think about it some more.

The fully bombed unit can be contacted via our Qld dealers Q Mechanical which did the installation and tuning of the vehicle. There details are found on our website dealer list.

The otehr customer can be found on teh MOGWA forum although I am not sure of his call sign.
