Heat Resistance of fibreglass

Am thinking of building a filter box from scratch using fibre glass.

Does anyone know whether it will be heat resistance enough for a job like this.

Cheers.

if you are making your own just be sure to get a good epoxy formulated for the task. but, yes an airbox doesn't get that hot anyway.
think of that carbon fiber hood out in the sun. must be pretty good epoxy to not soften up under that abuse.

thanks guys - looks like it is the way to go...

was looking at carbon fibre...but that too expensive.

Blank plates being made this weekend to get the rough shapes as to what I will be moulding..

my first task is making two plates, one for the front bar, the other for inside the engine bay, near the battery - 65mm pipe will run from the front bar to the engine bar first.

then the next step is the partition or box (can't decide)...probably cheaper to do the partition than a full box....

Liberoz - you know someone who has done this? which mitsu it suit?
