My link earlier showed the CEII version of the GSR for sale in New Zealand, I agree with you trying to get them here. I would definately join in if there was a group purchase. But unfortunately, I am sure that to get the cars from New Zealand is just as hard as purchasing them directly from Japan. I can see no real way around the legislation. I know so close but yet so far.......... If anyone has any detailed knowledge of importing cars I ask you to post some info. But as far as I know personal import is the easiest way and the car must be owned in the other country by you for 1 year then you can apply, etc. to import to Australia.......

hmm.. I heard it was relatively easy to import from NZ? We must do some serious research lads! That or I might just have to learn to live with their sheepy culture, and move there!

It would be good if it was easy, but unfortunately I do not think it is. Also if we did purchase some cars from NZ we would be paying them some money also, therefore increasing the overall price. It may be cheaper to get them direct from Japan.............but another thought, the Australian government may not tax the cars as high coming in from NZ, it is worth a try. The tax is the thing which will kill us.

What would I tick as free options.......for 2002 Lancer coupe 1.8

Rear disk brakes

Decent rear springs

Wider and a little bigger rubber.......These thing REALLY handle with capable tyres

Seat covers to protect poor seat fabric......on my second set of seat skins under warranty

Stronger headlight globes............so I can see much better

Titanium window film

A better looking rear silencer/muffer and tailpipe. The stocker is a schocker

That'll do the simple bits for now
