Back from the track, yet again....
Eric / Martin,
I just got back from Roebling, and picked up another 1.5s per lap. Everything was the same as last time, except I did update the setup a bit after talking to you guys. The changes stabilized the car a bit more under threshold braking, and the car is even more neutral in high speed corners. I was averaging just under 93 / 94 mph per lap on a road course, and was able to run with most cars on R compounds. The cool thing was the rotation was available without being 'spirited' with any of the inputs. It is almost as good as some of the race cars I used to race.
Now for the bad news, after 10 track days (40-60min per day in the summer heat) and countless heat cycles, the Falken 245/45 Azeni 215's have had it. I am going to order a set of R compounds to replace the Azenis I have on the car now. I am going to retire what is left of the Falkens to street duty. I am thinking 265/35's or 255/40's to increase the contact patch.
I will be in touch to find out what I need to do to compensate for the increased grip and power, which will be another post....
Catch you guys later,
Dave (STF)

Nevada... mmmm
I have no tests the 4 days surrounding that.. so.. road trip maybe.
BTW.. The Evo sits in "Modified Class" for Redline Time Attack.
What R compounds can you fit under stock wheel wells without modifications, I am not sure Dave wants the "AMS Widebody kit" we did for One Lap.

I bet we could snuggle some 265/35's under there, but it would be TIGHT, and the radius would be compromised.
Got some links? I need to contact some friends. I bet Spence and Jill would come out and watch, seeing as she works for Soutwest, and they fly about a flight every ten minutes.

as far as radius you mean circumference in terms of gearing or turning, cause turning shouldn't matter, Evo runs a big slip angle anyway.
