At what point do you guys see the 3" exhaust becoming a restriction? At what power level do you see a 3.5" or 4" becoming worthwhile?

what do you want to do with the car, for the most part a 3" will do just fine. you really dont need the 3.5

I don't like buying parts twice. I could buy a 3" Buschur exhaust right now on sale which is a great deal, but the car's endpoint is as follows:

Buschur stroker
Garage Defeat head
Full Race GT3567 Turbo
Buschur Race Intercooler

Those are the power mods and turbo can support over 700awhp which is pretty much the goal. Something in between a 35R and a 42R. Looking for full boost in the 4500rpm range.

The 3.0" will be okay till you meet a guy with a 3.5". Personally I don't think the pipe itself is a restriction one you go beyond 2.75"

On one car I tuned that made 506 whp @ 20 psi... open exhaust

With the exhaust it lost 6 horsepower.

Yeah...I would say not until past 600whp would it become remotely an issue.

IIRC - A 3 inch pipe does not start to become a real restriction until 850 - 900 hp. (based off of fluid dynamics)
