My experience with AMS
My experience with AMS
First of all, hats off to the crew @ AMS. Customer service is definitely top notch. The whole crew now knows me by name, face, license plate, and VIN #...thats how much they worked on my car. I began with a stock '05 and left with a stage 3 with a flash. Martin sat down with me for about 45 mins. reviewing my goals for the setup and addressing any concerns with drivability, etc. Needless to say, we ran into a few speed bumps along the way, but they handled the problem with a smile on their face. Even though I had minor, irritating, and persistant problems, they kept wrenching and tuning until I was completely satisfied...which is difficult to do. These guys went above and beyond what a company should do for their clients. I've spoken with Martin on numerous occassions before and after business hours on his personal line, trying to resolve my issues. These guys are the real deal, and I would recommend their parts and service to anyone. They earn every penny that is paid to them. Thanks again to Martin, Tim S., Frank, both Erics, and whoever else wrenched on my car or dealt with me on the sales floor. You guys earned yourselves another loyal customer who will sport the AMS logo on their car with pride.

I am currently a few horsepower shy of 300(20psi) with a stage 2 and a Walbro. I have an AEM UEGO installed, and the AFR's are dead on.

Yeah AMS are great people... Ive bought numerous stuff from them including their 1st production GT35r Kit a while back... the one thing I didnt like was the AMS Logo sprayed on my FMIC... I actually like to keep a stock appearing look and a big AMS logo sprayed on it doesnt help..... but in all its always a pleasure dealing with them

They are indeed a great shop. While I don't have a lot of their parts, I have had Martin tune/flash my car twice now! I left there today, after my 2nd tune and gained 32 hp from a set of 272's.

Thanks for the positive feedback everyone, it really makes me proud to be a part of such a great shop and group of guys.
This is heartening to hear. I've got two cars that will need extensive EMS tuning in the near future and I'm looking forward to working with Martin and the guys at AMS in order to realize my goals safely with reliable dyno-tuning rather than trying to do it myself on a dangerous street tune from an amateur tuner (i.e. myself
).
I think it says a lot about a shop that they can provide added value to nearly everyone. From guys who just like to have a turn-key product that fits their budget with no hassle, to seasoned mechanics such as myself who recognize that even a solid grasp of EFI tuning concepts and practical implementation on a limited number of vehicles doesn't necessarily replace the experience and ability of a pro like Martin Musial and the use of a load-bearing AWD dyno.
Looking forward to posting my results on the forums once I get my GT30R'd GSX and Evo8 tuned at AMS in the coming months.
