I think he was on meth with the stock turbo and just on straight pump gas for his 50trim tune.

I know you get tons of torque with alky/meth, so could the switch to straight pump be the cause for the loss??

What everyone has to remember is the stock turbo will just peak and drop off dramatically. For example, off the top of my head if I remember right, the stock turbo will hit 362 tq at 5200 rpms, but by the time it reaches redline it's only like 250 tq or so. Same thing with the horsepower peaking very late in the powerband.

On the 50 trim, I get 330 tq at about 5300 rpm or so and it stays flat like that until 7500 rpms. That's a big difference. The horsepower just keeps on climbing up until 7500 rpms as well. Instead of falling on it's face up top like the stocker, the 50 trim just keeps on pulling.

I'll ask AMS to post my sheet, otherwise I'll post it tomorrow.

I was on 26psi and meth on stock turbo. 50 trim was just 22 psi straight 93. There is so much left in the turbo. Again, mine and even anothre customer's alky kit pump was overheating. I didn't feel safe tuning with it. It was like 90 degrees and humid that day. Going back later for a race gas map. Martin said it should easily hit 500 horse power.

For the road, the 50 trim is an awesome setup. Let's face it, 500 whp is a lot it's more than most of the cars on the road!! I can't wait til i get my car back!!! Not to hyjack this thread but the 50 trim with a 2.3 is going to spool insanly fast.

When you saw my car it was probably in pieces!!!

When are you going back for the race map? If it's later this weak, hopefully I can see you up there.

THanks

Congrats on the nice pump gas numbers. I've also had an awesome experience with Martin and AMS...with 2 different Evos. The customer service is top notch, even after your car leaves the shop.

I have to call them and find out when the dyno is available. I've heard they are booked through August already. You got my number still? Give me a call when you're car is finished. We can go for a cruise.

The sad part is after we got off the phone, I accidently deleted all calls. I meant to get it programmed but I was a dumba$$ and deleted it. That would be sweet. I love just going for rides with other cars rather than it turning into a whos faster game.

Hook me up with a pm again and we will get together. Im calling ams now my car hopefully will be done by saturday.

Wow great numbers, and yes this is easilly within stock internals numbers, you could add another 100WHP in fact and be fine, Sean IVEY is running 550WHP on pump and alky on the stock bottom end.

So you have the VSR sheetmetal manifold too? Are you sure that was worth it?

PS- what clutch are you running?

35R The 50 Trim will get you 500WHP and over 500RPM's better spool, think fully spooled a ****'s hair under 4000 RPM's. 35R is like 4800 but it can also lay down 130+MPH traps.

The VSR is definately worth it, especially with a big turbo. Even on the stocker I gained about 15 at the wheels. I have a exedy twin disc.
