AMS 3" downpipe question

Why is it that the AMS downpipe has no flex section. Others do. Is this extra flex section not needed. Anyone exeperience any issues without the added flex section? I know the downpipe mounts on springs for flexibility but just curious why others use the flex section but AMS doesnt. Thanks..

Flex section is not needed...AMS dp uses stock donut gasket and springs bolts...same as the stock downpipe.

Most of the downpipes with flex sections do not use a donut gasket, but instead just use a "flat" flange that mates directly to the o2 housing.
