Edit - read about why you needed a new i/c. I guess I understand, but still it's too much for your setup.

First and foremost; get a tune. Find an autorized Ecutek tuner that you trust and you'll be good. IX's are usually tuned safely to 22psi peak. And to say 'there's not much more to do on a IX' isn't true. IMO, 300whp is well more than most people need, which is probably what you're getting at.
Personally, any more $$ should goto suspension if you wanna be faster beyond that - and not dragging. Or build up the bottom in with a stroker. Possibilites are as limitless as your funds!

Dude, I'm not a newb. This is my second Evo. I know what to do to get to decent power. Ecutek is over rated - I had it on my 03 VIII. You have to pay a huge licensing fee and it doesn't do anything that any other software can do.

I'm shooting for 300whp - (on the Mynes dyno). Whether I get it or not with just a cat back & i/c upgrades remains to be seen.

You say, "And to say 'there's not much more to do on a IX' isn't true." Would you care to elaborate on what else you suggest besides exhaust flow & intercooler modifications?

Finally - I'm working on getting set up with Robispec.

NOW, back on topic...
I just hope a tune will decrease the added lag I got from the i/c core. I never said it was a lot of lag, but I do notice more. I picked up a gauge and will find out if I'm down a little in psi. I'll also do some other trouble shooting as well.

I know Carlos is getting 20 PSI at 3100 rpm with the LICP and the stock core. That's phenomenal! I don't expect that, but I'm hoping for close to stock spool.
