Very nice hanging out with you and going to dinner this weekend.
WOW - thats amazing to see such great vendor to vendor cooperation, great job as usual to David Buschur, AMS and Dan B. ! These vendors should be commended for all working together to help further racing. Its amazing what can be done when the best minds work as a team. Even a year ago, fielding a Evo to compete in Turbo Street would have been nearly unthinkable with the amazingly fast Hondas in that field, now a year later it seems that Dan B was ready to compete for the trophy in that very competative class and # 1 qualifier. That car is flying now - amazing. I think David Buschur is onto something with these GT42's and I sure wish I could get my car out there for a touch up tune.

I think the best part was dinner, I had no idea you were such a goof ball, you seem all business at the track! Thanks again, your RS looks great, too bad about the protesters, you would have mopped up the powerstreet class.
I agree - having dinner with David is one of my yearly highlights. Too bad I missed it this time.

Well I have to clear a few things up as this doesn't tell the whole story. I'm a little upset about how this post was worded.

First of all I tuned Dan's new setup on the Dyno and I have not had a chance to be at the track to tweak the tune. The last time it was out he ran a 9.4 at almost 152mph (118.6 1/8) at 46psi and warm weather. With my busy schedule I have not had time or was able to go with Dan to the track. This time around I mentioned to Dan to find someone that can add fuel since it's much colder outside. Dan did his first run and ran a high 9.3 at 153.Xmph off the trailer.

Dan found Dave and he was nice enough to look at the tune and make some tweaks to the A/F's. The A/F's were in the mid 12's and Dave kept adding a little fuel each run untill it was high 11's.

For the best time Dan took about 50lbs out of the car (front and rear seats) and that's when he ran the low 9.3 at 156mph.

Dave, thanks for your help with Dan's car but I just wanted to clear a few things up as people are already calling me with misconceptions about what's going on (that you tuned the car, ect).

Deleted. Martin and I talked, we are still friends and both glad Dan went faster.

What I did for Dan was some minor changes to his ignition and timing maps. I did not load in a new map or completely re-tune his car. I just did a few things my way and helped him out as compared to what he had.

Have a nice day.

Dave and I talked and it's straightened out. We clarified a few things. Long story short, Dave was availabe and made small changes to tweak the car when Dan was running. Unfortunately I couldn't be there for the event but Dave was nice enough to help Dan out when the car was running lean.

Congrats to Dan on some hard driving!
