1. What aspect of the kit keeps the A/C from being retained?

2. What is the largest turbo kit AMS sells that allows the A/C to be retained?

(Ok, technically the 2nd question isn't about the GT42R specifically. )

My guess is you have to remove the condensor

And I do believe their 37R kit will fit like stock.

 

AMS 37r kit does fit really well. Same manifold as 35r, just a little bit bigger turbo.

 

The a/c needs to be removed due to the 4 inch downpipe. There is no where to run the pipe so the a/c compressor needs to be removed. The 37r would currently be the biggest turbo AMS sells while retaining the a/c.

 

37r will fit fine....

 

in the for sale thread, someone is selling a top mount 42R kit for 7k with all of the trimmings... it also keeps the a/c, gives you a man sized exhaust, custom front mount apparently, mini battery and everything else... thing is gynormous lol
