question to AMS about dynotune

question about you guys tuning. im currently debating as to whose tune or "flash" i will be getting. im leaning more towards a dyno tune because well, its probably better haha. anway in a nutshell what kind of success are you guys having with the IX? i just read a thread in the turbotrix area a guy with AMS TBE, 255 fuel pump, 23 psi, and a turbotrix tune put down 347. thats pretty sweet to me and was wondering if you guys have experienced numbers comparablet to that with full exhaust and boost controller. im sure the AMS exhaust had something to do with it haha....

Dyno to dyno its hard to compare numbers. we have typically seen some higher number from the TT dyno but the tunes are pretty good. That car on our dyno would not read as high most likely.

We have been having great sucess with the IX. My personal IX has stage 1 and 2 and does 340 to the wheels on our dyno.

for everyone heres my opinion on dyno's.

a dyno is used as a great way to see what each individuals gains are for each mod after mod, or changing things or what not.

they arent meant for comparing #'s from different dyno's. they are all different, but the numbers are usually closer than not, thats why people try to compare.

well to help you answer your question on who's tune/flash to get..
AMS is one of the most recognizable names in the US. they have great success in tuning many cars from Chris Black Evo 8 in Florida to there shop car running 8.97..
thats a whole lot to be coming from..
if that doesnt help you.. then living in the same area as AMS should help!!

I had my IX tuned by AMS. Their tune is excellent and on their dyno I ended up with 340 whp uncorrected and 354 whp corrected. From what I understand their dyno reads low for a dynojet.

I have a 3" tbe exhaust with test pipe, MBC, Walbro 255, AMS front mount and licp on 93 octane.

Since you live in Illinois I really don't understand why you would go anywhere else. Afterall, the best is already in your own backyard.

I made the 6 hour one way drive to have my car tuned by AMS and there are a lot of other guys that have driven farther. Consider yourself lucky.
