I had the exedy twin disc Heavy Duty, and I thought the same thing, I never heard a clutch make sooo much noise but the pedal pressure is awesome and once it was fully broken it was a great clutch.

Stick with it, once you get the hang of it you will not want to go back....

Maybe the domestics will learn when they hear a chattering clutch it may not just be broke.....

i have the same clutch as you and the same exact problem. First gear seems to be inpossible below 5mph. Going up my drive way sucks hard. Even if i slip the clutch and slowly let it out ... "thunk" very annoying, hoping it'll break in or i get better lol

ive had my exedy 4 puck cerametallic for around 15k and it still drives how you describe it. it drives me insane. when getting into first, its either rev a little higher and slip the clutch, causing a nasty grinding sound, or less gas and slip and it shakes the whole car and then just thumps into first.

Well since this thread has came back from the dead, I've driven about 1k miles (mostly highway) since the install and things have gotten much better. Once the clutch broke in I was able to slip the clutch off the line nice and easy.. but then again it seems that the clutch has a mind of it's own from day to day or drive to drive.. Like if I go the the store everything is fine, very smooth engagement.. then I come back out of the store and the clutch just wants to grab like crazy.. other times I come out to go to school early in the morning (car & clutch are cold) and it grabs like no other, then once the car warms up everything is smooth.. it get's a little irratating sometimes but no biggie.
