Dear AMS, How many hours (racing) would you expect the motor to last before rebuild? NASA race weekends (2 day) would see a little more than 2 hrs run time. An example, The old high strung NA GT3 high compression (13:1) 2 liter race motors (240hp) last about 6 hours. New tech motors with performance rings and cylinder coatings are so much better!

I would also like to know the above question. Also, how does it compare in reliability/life to your normal 2.3 shortblock?

yes, that is more of a bull-nosing which is actually better than knife edging...knife edging the backside doesn't have any cons though...

Well our standard 2.3 that was in our Time attack car went a whole season with no issues whatsoever. The 2.3RR was designed to be even more stout and durable so you can expect even more from it.

in the end it all really depends on the number of races,the HP level and how the motor is taken care of.
