U guys going to run the drag car this year? I haven't heard of any runs yet.

I was wondering if they were going to the Import face off at 41 sunday.

I think it is out of commission for the Castrol Syntec Top Shop Challenge. They are using the drag evo as the test bed for the engine they are building. Not sure if it will be the new drag engine after they are done.

We tried to run the car earlier this year but got rained out after we dragged the shop Evo and Scott's Evil Evo 1 all the way to GLD. We have not had time since then to get to the track.

The chassis is being used as the test bed for the Top Shop Challenge. The motor was removed earlier this week and the Castrol motor was going in today.

The Challenge motor needs to be in Cali in a month so the drag car should be back in running condition around that time too.

I too am disappointed that we have not gotten the car out yet this year.

are you guys going to ohio on august 17/18 for the shoot out?

I think as of this point, the DSM shootout is up in the air. I have not personally heard any yes or no on attending the event.

gotta realize these are complete race cars. they end up rebuilding a bunch of things after 1 track day in some cases. thats why they arent at every event braking records.

Every time AMS does not attend the shootout in OH God kills a baby duck.

I hate to say it guys but AMS and The Drag car will NOT be at shootout. This Top shop Challenge is really taking allot of time with the drag car and we just will not have time to get it all back together and test before going to shootout. So this year there will be no AMS at Shootout.

Darn i was actually contemplating flying out from CA to watch the race especially to check out your drag car

Oh well i'm sure there will plenty more exciting cars but honestly yours was on the top of the list to see in person.

Maybe i'll wait til next year.....

Sorry, Bettering our record is something that we really want to do this year but right now we have quite a bit on our plate. Not to worry. Once the top shop challenge is over we will have a great deal of time to dedicate to the drag car

Don't know about out in the Chicago area but at least out here in CA that would put you right at the perfect time of the season to break records
