Very nice. Good to see you guys running a proper turbo made to deal with the stupid 34mm restrictor. What engine management are you running, I assume you'll be using anti-lag. It's going to make that header glow like crazy! For the pikes peak class where you can run without the restrictor it's going to be nasty with a full powerband.

Nice work.

Yep, sure is. If you know of any cheap IX front bumpers LMK!

Nice work.
The car is running an AEM. We'll probably be installing an EGT in the downpipe as a safety mechanism so that if things get too hot, the antilag will automatically get turned off. I'm in the process of sourcing some of the OEM anti-lag bits, so at some point in the future the car will have air injection into the exhaust manifold, I just got started on my search a bit late, so we won't have that functionality in place for the first round of dyno tuning.

I'm really curious to see how this turbo does off the restrictor, but if its not "enough" we may be using a different turbo for PPIHC. The beauty of the V-band turbo!

Thanks for checking the build out!!

Dave

Very cool updates on an already impressive build.

Curious about AMS' thoughts on the TR30R...I know there's a wide range of configs for that snail. Don't suppose we'll see any spool/dyno numbers on this race car...figured I'd ask.

Nice Dave, that will be a bit of a time shaver compared with the old motor

You need to have AMS come out and tune the car at altitude, if you want to be real clever you can do what several top teams have done... rent a portable dyno and map the car in three or four points up the hill. The cheap version is of course is to drive it up in sections and map it that way. Not sure if anyone has a portable AWD dyno anyway(?)

Yeah...I'm really going to have to man up behind the wheel this year to actually use all of the power on tap. Watching you run out of 5th gear in TA-1 is some real inspriation!

I've got a laptop cable that's long enough to reach the trunk area. Think we could get Martin to go for it? I'll take it easy and won't corner too hard...errr... On a serious note, I suppose if we could get out there for a practice day, a blast up Picnic Ground Straightaway, another into Glen Cove, and another into bottomless pit with the laptop datalogging would be pretty helpful.

I have seen pics of portable dynos, I think it was for something with the MLR group across the pond.

Dave
