Shameless AMS Plug.

Hey guys, just posting some appreciation.

I've been in the Evo Game since June 2003 and the DSM game since the 90's. I remember when the Evo came out AMS was first on the scene with a quality turbo kit that we all dreamed about and that kit still survives to this day. There were countless threads of parts not fitting and pipes being too long or turbo manifolds cracking but not from AMS. They certainly were not the cheapest but in the long run they were because after you bolted on their parts that's where they stayed.

I currently run the Following AMS goodies.
  1. AMS Street FMIC OG version
  2. AMS Turbo Back Exhaust with 3.0 resonator
  3. AMS Upper IC pipe
  4. AMS Lower IC pipe
  5. AMS mini Battery

The mini battery has been sitting for a week in my Evo, 17 degrees and lower and still starts like a charm. The exhaust fits perfect not a HINT of rust on this North East car not even the welds.
The IC piping fits like a glove and hasn't popped off yet.
The FMIC just works, never gets warm on the intake side.

Thanks guys.

It's a shame they're leaving the Evo in favor of exotics and other cars with larger profit margins.

They still make high quality stuff, no doubt.

We really appreciate the positive feedback and continued support over the years!

All of the guys in the back take pride in their work and it's post like this that give me pleasure to print out and show them as they don't get to check the forums much.

We are definitely not leaving the Evo world anytime soon and continue on a daily basis to make and sell our quality parts for the Evo 8/9/X/platforms.

Making changes and branching out to other platforms is part of the growing process as we are trying to expand our markets to keep income coming in. I see a lot of other venders making similar changes working on and catering to other platforms as they too are looking to apply their skills and resources to other turbo platforms.

Thanks again High PSI and to all the EvoM members for the years of continued support

Great parts for my stage 1 car. The issue is the amount of effort to go over the edge, can't do it now, happy with 460WHP. Love your parts, would love to test some more if you want! I can test an Intake Manifold and some more serious cams if you'd like to see if I hit 500WHP pump gas on a stock block.

Unfortunately we are not looking to do any more testing with the F1-intake manifold at this time since we have seen gains on all different setups. Shoot me a PM when you are ready to purchase one and I can see what I can do on pricing for you.

As of right now we are not currently working on improving any of the products for the Evo 8, 9, or X as they are all performing great.

We recently came out with the new V-band kit for the Evo 8/9 and also the F1-I cast intake manifold to replace the older sheet metal VSR manifold. Both units showed great improvements over the older models in the power department.

We also recently released the 2.4L engine for the Evo X so we are definitely still working with the platforms. The CMC for the Evo X was also recently released which has been a great help for a lot of Evo X owners. Our fabricators still produce parts daily for the Evo 8/9/X platforms as they are sold and shipped daily.

Thanks

What is the deal with the new big turbos now? Starting in 2003 it was the 35R and then the HTA 35R, are there better turbos now?

Turbo technology has come a long way since 2003 and the newest turbos all have the custom billet compressor wheels.

We now offer the full line of Precision turbos from the PTE6262 to the PTE6766 all which feature the new CEA billet compressor wheels. Also the center sections are ceramic ball bearing now but are only oil cooled and no longer water cooled.

These turbos are definitely more efficient and capable of more power than the previous turbos with the traditional steel compressor wheels. We offer these new turbos in our new V-band turbo kits for the Evo 8/9 and X.
