well

it runs better with lower boost so i think it needs a good tune for high boost, plus it just does wierd things sometimes. A little detonation on the high end sometimes or so it seems and its pulling timing up top too, or so i think. It would be nice to go ahead and get a new clutch and possibly some cams as well.

Was it running OK until recently? What do you think happened to make it run poorly? I don't know what happened to my car, but it never ran worth a crap since the mods

i think just the change in weather and maybe the stock clutch going out. Of course the tune it had on it to begin with wa never solid. I was hoping for Dougs help on this, but i guess he has disappeared now. I think my car may be going back to stock. I wouldnt mind selling her now anyways. Thanks for the concern, so ur car still isnt right?

I know what you mean about weather changes and the effect on tuning..... It's really a pity, but most aftermarket tunes, ECUs, etc. are never as good as the stock ECU.... It's a hard lesson to learn, but it's never a good idea to let somebody talk you into a bunch of mods that they don't even understand
Doug might still be around, so don't lose hope of that solution . My car might be getting better, but after the sorry *** tuning that I got with my initial AEM EMS installation, the car developed blow-by that I suppose was caused by over-rich conditions (remember my pictures and videos of the huge black smoke clouds and the huge black "fartburns" where the car idled?). Anyway, the off-the-scale rich conditions caused raw fuel to wash the oil off the rings and cylinder walls which promoted the loss of seal. That's why I now have pressure in the crankcase and compression on the low side.
I'm hoping that the car will be streetable again soon running under the stock ECU with the XEDE to tune for WOT conditions. I'm hoping my car is well enough to just drive it day to day. It's amazing, but I've only put around 5K miles on it this whole year and most of them before Boost Solutions worked on it (I drove it 22K miles the previous year) Well, there is still hope I guess......

Manuel, have you thought of having the engine rebuilt? Like new pistons and rings maybe?

Yes I have..... It's an option. Maybe I 'll get that done in the near future. Man, If I put the money that I've spent on the mods plus the repairs that the mods required, I'd have enough for a really nice car After rebuilding the motor and this last round of corrections to the screwups of you-know-who, I'll have spent well over $12K... Oh boy, that plus what I paid for the EVO would have bought me a new MR with money to spare or a new Mercedes AMG
