At 2-3 psi , the car runs like stock.
At 6-7 psi , the car runs like a 300-320whp Evo. I keep up with a 320whp Evo at 6-7 psi and 5000rpms.
At 13 psi, you start feeling the BIG power.
At 18psi, you are GONE.
Just a remark:
We smoked a 1998 Z28 at 0 psi
At 0 psi and 4000 rpms, light throttle, I messed with a Gt mustang, I was not trying to kill him...
George
I was over at Boost Solutions the day after George ran it with 40+ pounds of boost.... I actually drove the car after all that so George could show me the AEM ems, etc. First of all, I never made the car go into boost (well, maybe 1 psi
), there just isn't any place to do it safely, at least not by me
. The funny thing about it is that the car runs extremely well and very strongly off boost.... George attributes much of this to the intake manifold. I'd say that car is stronger than mine off boost. However, it's not a car that I would drive daily at all. The exhaust and turbo sounds are pretty overwhelming. Hell, the fuel pump alone makes enough noise to distract you
I will say, you know you are in a very special car when you drive it. The sound of the 5" exhaust, the huge blower whistling, the huge intake, the two, that's right, 2 BOVs and the trick suspension give it away pretty quickly.
It's definitely a very cool project. I just wish I could get a chance to drive it and make it go fast
I bet it's a total monster
