Guys, differences aside, those times (and especially trap speeds) are very impressive! Congratulations. With a better 60' and a tiny bit better weather, Doug might be able to get the stock turbo record.

I didn't believe it was possible, but I fully admit I was wrong. Good showing and good luck with your goals.

I know from Doug that was just a test run, they were not even pushing it that much.
Doug was slipping the clutch like crazy, and Matt's intercooler was getting more heatsoaked than a stock one.

I think both cars got banned from running again for the night

I am grounded in the shop finishing the dyno install, along with Mo.

Thanks for the help, Mo!!!

Don't worry about it, man. We all got too excited that day, myself especially. You guys have some really fast Evos. Keep it up and break some reconds!

What up Noize, My trap time might have been off. It said 114, but I had a terrible launch and had to play catch up with Doug. We have a video so some time you can take a look. At one point Doug had at least three car lengths on me, but I caught him quick and supposedly that really got the crowd going. Snoop was there so he can tell you too. He came up to me after the run and was like dude, what did you trap you were flying. I was confused. Doug's intercooler is the bomb so his 4th gear pulls like hell. I gain over 30 degrees by the end of third so I'm fu**ed if I'm not in front by then. Yes, the cars are fast and yes WE will break the stock record. Our next goal is to spray with the stock turbo and hit 10s. This may be possible so we'll see. Before that we need some cages, fire-jackets, and a whole lot of dyno time to figure the best way to get power. Give us a couple of months and you'll see. Doug and I are very, very happy and if you would have seen the gay dance we did after the run it would have made your day too. I admit I was very relieved after the run and feel much better now that I personnaly ran an 11. We will keep everyone updated.

Thanks again George for the "Sponsorship/Friendship" because without it I would not be driving an 11 sec car.

Doug, thankyou for all your hard work on my POS that loves to break once a month. I can't wait to rebuild the tranny. I want my reverse back!

Hi Noize,

I am glad that we are friends again

I doubt Doug will break the stock turbo record, he might upgrade the turbo before installing a rollcage for more 11sec runs. And I am sure he WILL NOT wait for November to run under teh same conditions as teh current record holder.

Matt, on the other hand, WILL break it With a better intercooler, ignition upgrade, and 65 degree temps at the track, and 1.6 60' - he will beat the record

George

I was There!

Congrats Doug and Matt

I was there two witness the first stock turbo EVO's to get in 11s at Commerce. That was really fun. Matt and Doug were fun to hangout with. I think at Silver Dollar that both Doug and Matt will run under 11.5 ET with stock turbo but the problem is they will need roll cage and fire suit

Some tracks are more lenient than others. There is an 11 second CRX at the track I run at that doesn't have a cage. I rarely see helmets in 12 second cars, and was never told to wear mine.

Might as well try Silver Dollar too. If they kick you off, oh well. You can definitely come up here (kinda far) and run at Beech Bend. Its very doubtful they'll give you crap about a cage.

I hear that Silver Dollar doesn't give you crap about the cage either. I'm not too worried because I only need one more run to break the record. I won't run until I get another intercooler and HKS DLI. As soon as I modify my car one last time I'll run. Until then I plan on running the 1/8th down here to practice my skills or lack of and do advertising for Boost Solutions. What I mean by advertising is being here being there, giving rides, and running at small tracks to find the unknown customers. This has been a fun ride so far and hopefully I can hit the track soon so I can be King for a few days. Later yall.

Matt
