$1500 to spend
Well....to be honest. I did not have the time or money that I would like to put into the car anymore. It made me sick wanting to mod it even more and looking at it being dirty so I had to get rid of it.
IMO,
turbo-back (about $900)
MBC (less than $100)
S-AFC (about $300)
Ran a 13.1@106 on pump gas.
IMO, the AFC works well because you can tune the car each time you add a new mod. If you decide to run race gas, you can tune the car for race gas. That's why I use the AFC. If you're not too comfortable tuning the car yourself, the flash mod would be best for you.
Save the rest of the money for HKS cams and a fuel pump next.
Good luck

For $1500 you could get a turbo back exhaust, boost gauge, manual boost controller of some sort, and an ECU reflash. I went the Vishnu route with my reflash and have been completely satisfied. Plus the Vishnu XFlash uses ( and comes with ) a bleeder valve for boost control, so you wouldn't need a MBC if you went that route.
