My local dealer told me they will soon have performance parts for the lancer, strut bar, intake, things like this, and that whey will install them. They don't know yet from who they will have it? maybe RMR... in a few months they will know it, pretty cool)

Also one sales representative told me the lancer 2004 will come with a bigger engine, certainly the 2.4L. Also in Canada as you know, the spoiler is factory installed on the OZ Rally, I asked him if I don't want the spoiler what they will do, he answered that if the color matches the ES/LS they just swap the trunk, but if it's yellow, as they don't want to remove it and cover the hole (because they sell NEW car, not "patched" car), they will certainly order a yellow trunk without spoiler from the factory to install it.

 

The reason for this could be the fact that in 2004 the Neon will be built on the Lancer platform. As it's got the 2.4L in it, I guess they're dumping the wimpy engine for the bigger one.

As long as the EVO still has the 4G63 though I guess I don't care.

 

Very interested, where did you hear of the 2.4L engine. Will it be available to all, or just sections?
