Exclamation Winter and Your Lancer !

I would like to get some feedback on any problem(s) you have with your Lancers during cold winter cold snaps ?

From my engineering perspective, the cold is the best way to see the reliability of a car and the engineering prowness of its designers.

Things that I have experienced so far, please feel free to add to the list:

Good:

1. Fast heater heat up
2. Engine turns over well, starts very well without plugging into the block heater
3. Good balance/weight on ice and snow

Bad:

1: Power windows always freezing up from opening, especially if it was warm the last days and then freeze over
2. Squeaks and rattles in the interiors trimmings when -15 and over
3. Suspension(stock) is less active during cold snaps
4. No windsheld washer "LOW" warning lamp

Talking

It takes longer for the engine to turn over, heats up really fast , decent handling in the snow, no real issues with the cold yet.

Yes, you can, just outline the top and bottom of the torn area with masking tape and reconnect it with conductive epoxy. You can make your own conductive epoxy by mixing Artic Silver thermal compound with 5 minute epoxy if your too cheap like me to get the ultra expensive silver conductive epoxy @$25/tube.

For some reason, whenever I pull the e-brake going around a corner, I always get a big smile on my face, maybe I should take it into the dealership and get that looked at.

cold air is when ur car will run best.....especially when u ahve a Cold aire intake or any open air intake pipe (hence Cold air intake: cold air harder to compress = more power). ever notice how ur car seems to have more power than in a muggy hot humid summer day?

try accelerating hard on a cold snappy fresh day, its a bliss.

u kno wat deuxforever13 i did notice that...when the car is cold and u accelerate...its got quicker 0-60 time...my car has 1 big problem with the rear windshield craclking when its cold. if some of u dont see the diff...floor the pedal from a complete stop in a cold day...then do it in a warm day...ull see exactly what deuxforever is talking bout...well everything works fine in the winter...idk how many ppl have problems with the windshield crackling.
