Anybody put a Evo X on hold yet?

So, as the title says, has anybody put money down for an Evo yet?

I was at my local stealership today and the salesman told me that they just started taking deposits for the Evo X. Since its the first time the Evo will debut in Canada I didn't know if other Canadians would be all over this. I figured I'd rather be one of the first to get one and trade in the Mazda.

Went to an Ottawa Mitsubishi Dealer last weekend. Asked if they had any info on the Evo X. Well, here is what I was told by the sales manager. Apparently there will only be 600 units available to the Canadian market. I asked if they were taking deposits. He said no, not at this time.

I asked if he had any idea on pricing. He said "Oh, I expect them to sell for 50 to 55k" I said wait a minute, I understand the exclusiveness and pedigree of this car but c'mon this ain't no Porsche/BMW or Audi and it's supposed to compete with the Sti which is pegged at 46k in Canada.

We'll see where the dust settles

I had a talk with the manager of a Mitsubishi car dealership in Brossard, Quebec, Canada and he told me that the EVO will be coming in late february... he believes that the price should be around 40K$ since the CAD$ is so strong. He also told me that the dealerships are not supposed to take any deposit since they have no idea how much they are going to run for exactly...

The ralliart version should be around 33-35K$ supposedly.
