Is this possbile?
this may be off topic.. but still related to EVOs..
I seen many mirage in the US did a full convertion and they look EXACTLY the same as Evo IV/V/VI.
heres the question, is it possible for me to import a mirage that fits an EVO V/VI body kit and swap in a 4G63? I know is hard to swap in an AWD engine into a FWD chassis. I am a hardcore evo fan but have ABSOLUTE no interest with evo 8.... I really wanted an Evo5/6/TME and I dunno if is possible to import them here either.
thanks for ur time answering all my dumb questions

Unfortunately the Mitsubishi Mirage from the first model up to the newest model is on the Restricted Import Vehicles List. So bring it to Canada would be out of the question.
As far as I know it IS possible to bring an Evo 5/6/TME to Canada if you can get it to meet safety standards. The only question is how much money you have to spend on the car, the import shipping, the duty and the safety. I'm sure you could get a Evo 5 or 6 for any where between 20-30 CDN from Great Britain, the other stuff I'm not sure how much it'll cost but I think it's safe to say that you'd be lucky to spend less than 40k to get the car on the road in Canada.
As for the TME (my favourite of all evo's) they are a limited production car (5000 built if I remember correctly) so your biggest problem wouldn't be getting it into Canada, it would be finding one for sale.
p.s. There are kits coming out that will change the current US Lancer into looking like an Evo 5/6.....and while swapping the engine out, I'm sure if you dropped $5000 on parts for the Lancer engine that would be more than enough to quench your thirst for power.
Any further questions feel free to post here.
