winter cleaning?
Dayum, that's a good deal!
Spring time in Manitoba is no friend to vehicles. Especially when you have a brand new evo x!
+6 temperatures and melting snow = dirty city streets.
Fortunately there are some nice big full bay car washes around Brandon and Winnipeg, MB that make for a great, warm place to wash a vehicle.
Went to Canadian Tire and grabbed a couple of soft sponges on sale for 2 bucks each and a pack of soft, lint free clothes to wipe the car dry.
After rinsing, soaping, and then washing with the sponges and rinsing the car again I'd take it outside onto the dry pavement and wipe off the water from all parts of the car including the inside of the doors and trunk.
After washing the car 3 times I had it down to a pretty good rythym and it got easier and quicker. I did notice that driving even after the wipe-down forced some water out of spots I could not reach so after parking the vehicle at home or in a dry location I'd go over it again with the clothes for a nice clean, dry finish.
The car only has 2200km on it as well as the paint protection from the dealership so I didn't bother waxing it yet. I plan on doing that before i put it away at the end of July.
