Anyone noticed idiots trying to start **** with you on the roads while driving your GTS?

Sunday I was at a gas station near my house getting something inside. I was walking back to my car and noticed some douche bag looking at me and the car while he was paying for his gas. The guy seems to leave from inside pretty quickly to get to his car outside. I jump into my car back out of my spot and he's right behind me already. I turn out from the gas station and move into the left lane and I hear and notice that same guy in his Sunfire do the samething and come fly right up behind me. Note the other lane is wide open but he decided he had to show me how nice his intake sounded and tail me. I opened it up knowing in a few seconds I had to turn down my street and he does the same as well but proceeds to fly down the street instead of turning. I just had a good laugh at the work this guy pulled off to show me nothing impressive.

Fastward to today, Im sitting at a light and notice the same Sunfire pull up to me and I look over and the guy has this smirk on his face. Knowing he's some idiot who thinks his car is fast I motion for us to race, Im inching forward like Im about to rip it off the light and when it does I just take off normally and watch him trying to rip it hard down the street. When I say try it honestly seemed like he was doing a little over the speed limit because it took him forever to get to the next light when I was just going at a normal rate...all noise on his end but no go lol

I pull up to the next light, open up the window and ask him if he has any problem after the stunt he pulled off Sunday night. He just had this stupid look on his face along with his buddy but claimed tha I got "bumped" by a $4000 car and called my car a $25000 piece of **** lol. I told him he wish he could own my $25000 piece of **** and that he seem to know alot about it so obviously he had some sort of interest in it. It's not like my car is gold but this is coming from a guy driving a slow *** Sunfire trying to race me...honestly what is the point of racing 16-17 second cars? Plus he was claiming how jap cars have no torque and so on but seemed to think his Sunfire was fast and better than a lancer.


Ever since buying this car I've noticed I only seem to attract these high school idiots trying to race me...Im over that ****.

Its 10 times worse here in the states, you just ran into 1 dumbass. I thought canadians were friendly docile people? I had a ricer downshift next to me on the highway and start spinning his tires. Imagine a pos sentra burning rubber already going 60 mph.

honestly I got a good laugh from this idiot...and I look forward to running into him around my area. I never understood why people like this bother others driving normally, with my old car I never started anything with anyone. If somebody like this guy did then I wanted to show them, obviously guys like these are always driving a slow piece of ****, but why go around with a 16 second car and think yours is better than the 16 second car beside you on the road.

When you can afford to drive a new evo or the likes (even maturity will play into this one), you realize the futility of trying to show off and race around like someone with something to prove. Actions often speak louder than words

This kinda stuff happens to me a lot in my honda, rarely in the Evo. However when it does I just continue to drive normal and refuse to acknowledge the idiot. I am just waiting for the day someone like that rips it past me and right by a cop.

this actually happ to me when i was driving my rx-8. this guy in an is300 rolls up next to me and starts reving the **** out of his car, i jus look at him and give him a smirk. the guy has like 4 guys in his car who were all staring down my gf...lol....retards! light goes green....i see a cop on top of the hill on the opp side. i jus take off slowly, while this guy rips it. cop looks at him speed by, throws the ticket to the guy who he had caught on the opp side gets in his car and makes a u turn. all i see in my rear view mirror is the cop gunning it, passes me and pulls the guy over!!! i drive by and my gf and i give the guy the biggest smile ever! lol. RETARDS!!!!

Just get used to it. I don't know about Canada, but the people here in Florida have a hard time distinguishing between a Lancer and a Lancer Evo. I've had everything from an Aston to a Vette (No Zonda's or Nissan Z's to complete the alphabet yet) try to get me to race them. You learn to live with it.

 

 

Same thing I would do...at the light I motioned for us to race so he bought in but when the light turned green I just took off slowly and watched the jackass going down the street...knowing up ahead cops usually setup radar, but luck was on his side that day.

If I wanted to street race I wouldn't be doing it in the car I have now or any other 15-17 second car...Id stick to something modded or a bike. But these guys are use to riding bicycles, finally afford a car, and think its actually fast.
