Canadian Evo Owners getting reflashed?

Any Canadian owners getting the check engine light or got the reflash? Mine came on a couple of days after I picked up the car. Car still drives fine. Waiting for the dealer to find time to read the code and reset it for me. As for the reflash, anyone has any luck with any dealerships?

Haven't asked. It's really a non-issue for me until July when I get back home to run the car for a few weeks.

lemme know how that goes...i got a light too awhile back the second day after i got the car but i believe that was just a service light and then it went off a day after (not too sure if thats the same light as the CEL) after reading all the complaints in the other sections i really think mine already came with the updated reflash since it seems to be driving pretty good...i have a few little hiccups sometimes at idle but its not nearly as bad as what some of the americans described...i did a dyno dynamic dyno today and i pretty much spit out similar numbers to the one person who dyno dynamic'ed his ride with the new flash so i think im good

I've also experienced the weird idle and stalling too. I'll update this thread later when I get it checked out

well, the notchy gears wont be fix with this reflash. i heard from other evo x owners the idle and high rpm hesitation is gone and no more stuttering at 5k and past. and some claims better gas mileage. so im excited to get mine.

i was going to pass on this because i felt my car was running alright compared to what most people were describing... however last night i had a symptom...i went to start the car the rpm needle started to fluctuate below 1000 then eventually the car died 5-10 seconds later and the check engine light came on for a min..so a few min ago i called a dealership to inquire about an oil change and explained what happened last night, the tech on the phone said they have the reflash and they will flash the car (if it doesnt already have) when they do the oil change, ill let you guys know how it goes im kinda looking forward to feeling the difference but also a bit worried since they said they have never done any work on an evo x before...hmmm

do you have any mods to your X? i have a cone filter when i went to get my reflash and noticed that its diffenitely more smoother car BUT i also noticed from my dynobutt its not pulling as much harder b4 so i reset the ecu for 5 mins. wowww....thats all i got to say.

if you have a any kind of drop in or cone filter just reset your ecu. oh yah i get better gas mileage after the flash bout 3 to 4 mpg.

I'm waiting 2-3 weeks for my dealer to get the reflash in.. Must be on the slow boat.. I have 1100 KM's and the stuttering over 5 grand is terrible.. Idle is not to steady either.

I am hoping that the tranny grinding is going to go away when the syncros work in a bit..

So far not a great car

^ i decided not to bother with the reflash...u will notice that after the car breaks in it will drive like a champ...7500KM later mine runs nice and smooth and is much better on gas mileage with more power...just give it some time...yours might need the reflash though ...i know mine definitely doesnt
