I was looking for some 6x9's today in the car and noticed there are none above the rear seats. Does the gts just have 4 6 1/2's or whatever size they are?

I ask because I have a set of infinity 6x9's I was going to put in.

Also it comes stock with an amp. Where is the amp located?

I also have a 600 w jbl amp I wanna hook up but need the whole trunk for work space so if anyone has a good location for it let me know.

 

According to the car's little pamphlet thinger, there's 9 speakers (even though I've only found 6).

The amp is underneath the driver's seat. It's a 650watt. I thought it was a little heater or something at first but realized when I took my seats out that it was the amp.

there are 9 speakers they count the in built tweeters in the back speakers as a speaker each too. kinda retarded, but yeah. there are no 6X9's in our GTS. i personally would not change the stock rockford components. they are good speakers. the amp can be changed. i have changed mine already and it sounds much better. ur gonna need a 4 or 5 ch amp. 1 or 2 ch amp wont work.

 

Don't laugh!! My dad had an old passenger van that had a heater under the seat and that's what I thought it was!!
