i waited there from about 7:30 to 8pm... i was hoping someone would show up early, i had to leave. I did make an attempt.

 

i was there by 7:30 man and spool wasn't far behind me...he definitely showed up before 8

 

i tried to let you know, **** happens. I planned on being there but as I said one of my firends quite his job friday, and got a job at another bank. Which means no two weeks, just give me your access pass and leave the building. I have attempted to be at 3. One i made it, the other was friday, and the third was the first one at 403 and dundas, were i think it was you who said you saw me turned around but i was gone???? The first one was a mess which turned me off of meets.

 

lame - This is one of the reasons why I was going to get rid of my lancer. No one wants to show up for stuff, theres so few owners, and now that the body style is dead, the new lancer isn't exactly a hot car to customize.

I'll continue to meet up with Crash and go to strip clubs and participate in orgies with 7 hot nurses.

The REALLY sad thing is, that I don't even have a roadworthy Lancer and I STILL continue to show up in my other car. Kinda sad when a "Lancer" meet is comprised of 50% Z24's and 50% Lancers, I mean I should at least be outnumbered.

As for setting up another meet, it's killed.

 

yeah and the very first meet at dundas and winston churchill, 2 of my friends came that both have se-r spec v's and they had the same number of cars as the lancer "meet" since one other person showed up. that was kinda ridiculous. as spool said, this "meet" was comprised of a single lancer, how retarded is that.

Spool, it isn't like there are that few owners either. i see lancers all the time, they are taking off like the civic, but just no one has any enthusiasm for their cars.

ans yes the hp numbers for our cars are disheartening, but somehow we are able to beat a lot of cars with higher hp numbers like civics and j-body's. so if people actually tune their cars then it would be fairly quick.

 

Ya and I've been stopped/booked hard for the two first meets and that didn't deter me from coming, cops can't touch me if I don't have nos...it's always the old ghetto cars that get booked

I see lancers regularly now.....they're alot more common, too bad we can't get that CF lancer on board, hardcore people show up.

As for the HP numbers....theres turbos, supercharges and a swap....and for most people they probably couldn't handle 200hp nore are they that dedicated to modding. Most people are just the basics, rims, lowered, intake, exhaust and a few other cheap mods.

 

I had a big reply wrote but it is pointless. bottom line is there we 4 people who may have came an 2 showed. if 16 said they were coming and 8 showed it would be a different story. Also the meets are so close together, knowone has anything new to show, except for maybe Dr. Crashes trunk. I never called spool lame when he got pulled over by the cops,and couldn't make it but i am lame for taking my friend out after his last day at work???? Doesn't make sense. I am not trying to start a fight or argue with you guy's, but I post before the meet letting you know i will not be there and i am lame. calling people names really makes them want to come to meets. aslo KK is gross and lame, maybe if we did a cruise or a show and shine at the drive in or something it would be cool, just my thoughts

 

well close to 16 people have said they were coming in the past and only a handful have showed. plus the fact that most people have only come out to one meet. if everyone would show up to multiple meets then it wouldn't be that bad. also, having a meet every month is not close by any means. the vw club meets every week in burlington and they have more than a dozen cars show up every time. and a lot of guys show up every week. and the purpose of the meet isn't just to show "new" stuff that you've done to your ride, but also just to get together and talk about different things as well. and if more than 2 or 3 people showed up then it might be fun and there would be more people and topics to converse about.

as for the KK meeting place, we've (spool and i) asked everyone who posted in a "meet" thread where they wanted to meet and no one else said anything. if it was up to me i would ask everyone to come to burlington since it's so much closer for me, but i tried to cater to people out towards t.o. i didn't hear you come up with any suggestions for a meeting place. and we tried another place, but spool got a ticket the first time and got hassled the second time so we changed places to KK where we haven't.

i don't think spool was directing the lame comment at you per say, but rather at the situation in general. and at all the people that say they are going to show up, but don't.

 

Ya, everyone always says there coming and then no one shows. I don't think the meets are too close at all once a month...that's like only 12 times a year. What isn't two close? Once a year? Quarterly? It's not my fault that no one has anything "new" to show on there car. It's not about "showing off", it's about showing up and having a good time.

We did cruise from KK to Square 1 once. But that was when there were 4 lancers there....a cruise is pointless with 2 cars.

As for the location, I don't eat KK or drink KK. I hate donuts. I'd meet anywhere short of the original place or colossus. I'm done dealing with cops.

Next year I'm joing Xclusive Concepts, Crash your welcome to come along.

hey guys, sorry to hear that the meet wasn't going so well... i always wanted to come just it wasn't the right time for me maybe i should hv posted more to let you guys know a better time. i really dun want us to give up abt the meet..

i know the fact that there r a lota lancer out there but i think not everyone has the enthusiasm like some of us... just the matter of time...

let's dun give up abt the meet and i'll try my best to come every time! and hope you guys dun get bored by me~
