Toronto Evo X Owners

I was just wondering how your Evo's paint is holding up? Are you seeing all the dreaded paint chips like I've read on this forum? I bought one and will be recieving it in a few weeks and want to protect the paint as much as I can but hate the idea of putting on front mud guards.

But I have seen 2 brand new Evo's in the show room with paint chips so that did not make me feel good.

maybe post in the Canadian section for a better response.

as for me, it's pretty bad depending on where you drive and road conditions.

They gravel the streets in Calgary so I had no choice but to purchase Ralliarmour mud flaps even though I don't like the looks of them on the car. I will also be putting 3M clear bra on the hood and fenders. Putting a good sealant on the paint helps also (Klaus, Jeffs acrylic jet).

I've put 1500kms on mine so far. Mixed highway city driving (407/404 and major streets in GTA). No paint chips so far (although it might well be hidden underneath the layer of nasty salt that is on my car right now ). I did get 3M on the side rockers, rear door and rear quarter panel though and have noticed that those areas get alot of splash. The ww evo in the showroom I bought my car at already had a chip on the front bumper from people bump'n into it!!).

get rallyarmor mudflaps (very practical), and get a clear 3m Bra for the bumper, hood and side mirrors
