Wheels/tires: What would U pick?

So....spring is here and i'm not looking forward to another season with em ****ty dunlops and the silver stock 18s so i've decided to downgrade to 17" (cuz i'm cheap like that! HAH)

WHEELS
so since i'm cheap....i've cut my "higher" rims i.e WEDS sa-70, Advan RS, Work Cr kai, volk ce28n....haha maybe later

i also dont want replicas...dont wanna name themm all stuff like ROTA and FAST
though they are VERY temptingg loll
so i looked around and i want a BRONZE/GOLD rim...and the only ok ones i found were these two...if u guys have any other suggestions please feel free to throw at me

Konig DayLite in GOLD

AND

Enkei FLC-01 in Bronze

Enkei costs a lil more but i like it a lil more

TIRES

Same thing....been browsing around andd decided on these..

General Tires Exclaim UHP (since shawn is doing a group buy)

KUMHO ECSTA SPT KU31

Nankang NS-II

All these tires i found to be excellent quality for the money =)

quoted these on DiscountedTires and 1010tires and both came up around $1700 (wheel tire package) shipped.

SO tell me what you guys think?
what would u do? thanks
CHEERS

hey blancy,

i went with the bronze/gold enkei RS7+ black on 17" Fuzion tires and i never looked back =). you probably want a drop though. the wheel gap has grown even bigger due to the smaller rim and higher tire wall contrast.

I'm getting the SPTs for this summer. According to Tirerack tests, they have a bit more grip than the Exclaim UHP and are braking better. Overall, a bit better tire than the Exclaim, but who says more grip means less life time.

As for the Nankang, they're quite popular because they're cheap. I've read a lot of good things about them, but I prefer paying more as I've read many bad things about the Nankang too

are the nankangs the taiwanese brand? IF it is the nankang im thinking of, my friend's camery used it and it burst on him and he had to get it replaced.

to blancy: no i havn't decided what spring i want to get. i want something that's made for our model though. plus, i dont want too low of a drop i just want to make the wheel gap less horrifying.

definitely get the enkies. it's a one time investment that you shouldn't cheap out on!
