Anyone use Radar Detectors?

I am just curious if anyone uses any radar detectors in their lancers... Since it is illegal in Ontario, I am wondering how I would go about mounting a detector in my RA to make it not too noticeable to the OPP

They have radar detector detectors - they are illegal, will be taken on sight or if found (via detector). Easy solution - don't speed.

Once my parents took my 76' Vette over to Windsor for a fun river line drive. OPP going the other way detected my radar (stuffed into the lower A pillar). OPP turned around, eventually found it was my car with the radar. Pulled over my parents, took my detector - and the power cord.

Its just far easier to not have one in Ontario.

I see, let me state that it was 120-140 Km/h, this is NORMAL driving, not implying any street racing whatsoever...

i am not sure about the laws in new york, but i take it that you just mount it on your windshield? The beltronics STi is the only device i can use because it is not detectable.

i call ducktales on the "undetectable" part
but g'luck.

if its undetectable, just mount it wherever. its not like you'll get stopped if they see an electronic device in your car. or keep it in your cup holder lol.

I do 140 on the 401 all the time, thats usually what most people do in the "fast lane".

The airplane patrol don't use radar at all, most people think they do for some reason.

My friend got pulled over by the plane police... lol

LOL!! ^^ That's funny cuz he totally had me convinced that the plane flew over his car and a guy jumped out to give him a ticket hahaha I'm so gullable sometimes.

There was a cruiser waiting for him down the road that pulled him over. (even though at that point he wasn't speeding anymore)

He was only doing 127, so I dunno why they picked him... ah well. Maybe they dont like Jettas lol

Escort Radar X50 , hasn't failed yet! *knock on wood* I ran the wires through my A pillar for a more professional and hidden install. If u ever get pulled over, just tuck the wires in, hide the radar as fast as u can. Though i don't think radar "Detectors" are illegal here in Cali. Jammers are a different story.

I'm sorry, but I just thought the first 3 posts of this thread were too hilarious, only because I had no idea there were radar detector detectors, and I had no idea there were detectors undetectable by radar detector detectors. lol

I never use a radar detector. I just pay very close attention to where the cops are. For my daily drive, I can't get caught cause I just go the speed limit where I know they sit and watch.

You know what i'm always tempted to get that beltronics product, but just not sure with todays cops tech. So you have a laser jammer to......use to exist only in military... next thing we know "CLOACKING DEVICE"...then CLOAKING DEVICE DETECTOR.
