Angry Vancouver: Freeway Mitsu is switching to Mazda :<

This is depressing and I hope I turn out to be wrong. But the people at Freeway Mitsu in Surrey are saying that their owner is going to close shop and start a Mazda dealership across the street. They're closing at the end of Sept and probably will return their stock to Mitsu after this weekend.

On the other hand, it might be a good chance to get an fair deal if you or your friends are shopping for a Mitsu this weekend. I saw a whole bunch of Monteros and Eclipses there today, a few Galants and maybe a couple of Lancers.

So, a sad toast here for a failed Mitsu dealership that decided to switch to an inferior product.

While I admire your enthusiasm for Mitsubishi, I can't really say that Mazda's are inferior.

Hot Mitsubishi Cars are Lancers, Evolutions, Eclipses....but the best Lancer is ours and it's out of production, the Evolution isn't available here and the best ones were the EVO 6, Evo 6 TME and the Evo 7. And the last time they made a good eclipse was the 95-99 GST, GSX also never available here. Problems with new mitsubishis include cheap paint, rust and poor dealer service.

Mazda, although owned by Ford at least offers some really hot cars: Mazda 6, Mazda RX-8. True they have there problems but it's not like the paint is cheap or they rust out. Dealer service tends to be alot better.

To each there own, but I guarentee you that dealership would still be a Mitsu dealership if they sold old Eclipses and Evolutions.

Exactly my point crash.....Mitsubishi is clearly past there prime when it comes to hot cars.....how odd that the VR-4, Eclipse GST/GSX and Evolutions 5-7 all came out in the mid-90's/early 2000's and now all they sell is ****

The current Eclipse

Spool: enlighten me...what's wrong with the current incarnation of the Eclipse? Doesn't look like a poor quality car to me at all, but I don't own one so of course I don't know its weaknesses.

The engine, the size, the lack of a turbo, the questionable styling, the handling, the ****ty paint.

It's not a tuner car anymore....all it's good for is FNF movies.

Nah man not me.....I saw a Pearl White OZ the other day on Dundas St W in Toronto and thought about you though...nothing girlish about the car.....it does look kinda stupid not lowered though.

Regardless Crash, theres nothing girly about your stereo set-up or my engine swap. Has someone said something to you?

Meh your car is a girls car....it picks up hot nurses that think it's an ambulance, because of the paint and the siren
