Picked up a hood protector for the OZ (in Calgary!)

Just got back from Platinum Mitsu - they somehow sourced some lexan-type hood protectors. I think these really belong on a truck, but my daily commute is 160kms, and involves quite a bit of gravel, so my hood was getting pock-marked.

Here's a shot of it tonight after I put it on. (excuse the crappy pic - garage is crowded, and its nighttime - I can take more tomorrow, if anyone wants to see a different angle?).

Here is another crappy shot, cornerwise:

Best part: $62. Not a bad deal. Not "genuine mitsu parts", but it does fit.

PHIL

Well gravel sucks, so you gotta protect the cheap Mitsu paint. Good Job.

Tell me about it....London uses gravel and salt on the roads in the winter.....my Z24 had to have the front end repainted because of all the stone-chips.

hood protectors do their purpose but it just looks better on trucks and suv's. 3m would do the same purpose without that highly visible protector.

Ya I really want to get some 3M for my hood as well, but I'd need to get a chip filled or it wouldn't work. Meh I'll probably wait until I get a CF hood or a Evo 7 front and get the 3M treatment on that.
