Any Ottawa, Ontario, EVOs?
I believe that in Ontario the fine is $110.00. I've had tinted windows on all my previous vehicles when I was living in the Ottawa region and never had any problem.
That type of Motor vehicle Offense was more used when the ''thrash can'' on wheels were stopped racing at two in the morning waking up the entire city with their fart can in the back, the 100 subs in the trunk and 5 wings installed on top of each other. Most of the people driving reasonably in vehicle that seemed in good mechanical condition were generally not stopped only for having tinted windows. (you could always come across a traffic **** who would pull over anything on the road and issue tickets for anything)
The truth is that most of the other police officers I know either have their windows tinted on their personal vehicles or completely disagree with the regulations regarding them.
However, lately the different provincial governments have been putting some pressure on the different police forces to enforce certain sections of the Motor Vehicle Acts like the tinted windows as it represent a easy chunk of change in profit for them.
As a matter of fact they issued four new tint meters only for the detachment I'm posted at but that's in New Brunswick.
I also completely agree that our cars look way better with tinted windows.
cheers

I think that I'm the only Canadian female Evo driver?
. Then tell him you'll sue the police force he works for in 35yrs. if you are ever diagnosed with skin cancer because you had to peel off your tinted windows.
Here you go if you get stop for the tinted windows just throw the skin protection argument in there and watch the officers face change
