Hi, I want to get the 2010 RA here in Canada but a friend of mine told me to go to Seattle and get the car there coz it's cheaper (like 5-8k cheaper) there.

For those of you who already got your RA and paid in cash, how many cash back do you guys get?? And the 2011 wrX 4-door is coming this summer, should I hold??

Make sure the warranty is honored in Canada if you buy a US vehicle.

I thought about this too when I was looking for my RA, but last year the Canadian dollar was a little lower so the difference wasn't as large. You have to remember you need to replace the bumper to bring it up to Canadian code and what not, and you have to factor in the fact that base US RAs do not come with Recaros, so you have to slap on that package at additional cost if you want them. I believe US ones also dont come with heated mirrors.. all in all, IMO its not worth it

You can't bring a brand new car over the border anymore. It has to be so many months old or so many km/miles on it.

Mits Canada has a $2K cash rebate right now(don't know how long that will last). Mits Canada will not honor the warranty on a US spec vehicle imported to Canada.

Yep the new law is fairly gay but true. Its a protection law the canadian auto makers begged for and got.

Mitsu does NOT validate american warranties in canada.

You're an idiot plain and simple. there will be a 2011 RA. Ralliart still has its manufacturer side open and it will remain open. If ANYTHING the naming rights could change, but the car is here to stay for the 10 and probably 11 series of evo.

Crosstown was going to give me $24,750 for my trade-in. Maybe that's the route you will have to take.
