Question 2010 Evo X GSR Handling Package

hey guys, i am in the market for buying an evo, but i just wanted to know if the handling package is worth the 3 grand? or would it make more sense to use that money for aftermarket parts? thanks for any input, i guess the only nice add on with the handling package is the bbs rims and the high spoiler..

wow, there is actually a handling package. lol (face plant) who at mitsubishi comes up with this stuff.

save the 3000 dollars and buy top quality coilovers and sway bar.

problem solved and likely come in under 3000 grand

I bought the EVO X with the handling package, like some of you have posted I'm not really looking to add alot of aftermarket parts to my car so the package was right for me. With that being said I negotiated a price with the salesperson. Remember when buying a car everything is negotiable.

I'm happy with the deal, it took forever to finally get done.

trinidudenator can take all these points and go and get the EVO
he wants.

I think it's a little steep for what you get. I'd rather spend the extra $ on bolt ons. You may also want to consider how much you like the big wing. If it's a must, the bolt pattern for the regular spoiler is different from the big one. So you'll have a patch job to do if you opt for the big one afterward.

As far as getting a good deal... negotiate the price you want to pay without the pkg. Then negotiate adding it after.

i got the handling package and i think it was a big mistake. (no other choice cause didn't want to wait for the next shipment.) i have already swapped out the suspension and rims. That's 2 out of four items from the package. If you're going to mod your car any anyways don't bother. Use that money on a set of factory projector headlights! i can't believe the gsr doesn't have projectors not even as an option! this is so for the only thing i hate about the car!

Hahaha yeah a lot of us have that same gripe. That's why I got the SSS package from the states. Sucks that you spent the 3K on the handling package, but at least you got the BBS rims and high spoiler i guess.

I hated how in Canada they didn't have any options for the GSR in 08... what did I do? Bought the one with every single option minus the 5-speed. How do I like it? I've been dreading the SST ever since I got mine! Forget the GSR, forget the Handling Package. Go to the states and import one with the SSS package. You can almost buy 2 Evo X's in the states if you can afford one here!
