Not where I want to be first.....
But unfortunally I am......
The first one at my local dealership to have a X MR transmission replaced
Big to the dealer/Mitsu Canada,I never had any issues.Told them about the problem twice, they road tested it,ordered the transmission, gave me a new loaner SUV and the next day gave my car back.
My car is perfect again, shifts really really nice.

The worst one was a "shutter" or "bunny hop" when starting, similar to someone just learning to drive a standard shift or like when a clutch gets oil on it.We also had rough shifts in general, noise, vibration and a "throttle surge".
All are fixed now.

Yeah, that's the common problem... Good thing that they honored the warranty without complaining...
Heard that the first batch of 08-09 SST's often have this problem... Supposed to be better with the 2010...

Yes,hassle free was nice.
I think mine is one of the early batch of cars, hopefully the new transmisson will be best kind.
Other than the few oil changes and the fuel rail "recall" the car has required no servicing.I did have that done at the dealership.

Well after about a week of driving all I can say is AMAZING!
The new transmission has completely changed the feel of the car.No more hesitation when starting off,no juddering or "bunny hopping",no noise,no vibration.
The shifts are clean smooth crisp, both up and down the gears, and in any of the three modes.Even in SS under hard throttle you can hardly feel any gear changes at all,in auto mode normal you have to look at the tach to tell it has changed a gear.
Very nice Mitsu on building an amazing car.

They were very fast with getting the transmission here and then replacing it.
Its supposed to be the lastest spec transmission, thats what they tell me anyway.Either way as long as it stays as sweet as it is I'm happy.
