Vancouver Tint Shop

I want to get my windows tinted ASAP but I am looking for a good tint shop that has a good warranty on them. Basically I want to go with the 3M metallic tint if there is a local place that can do it. From the reviews I have seen 3M does the best at keeping the car cool. Some reviews say as much as 50% of the heat is reduced.

If you are from Vancouver and know a good place let me know.

Thanks.

Where did you get it done?

How much did they charge you?

Do you know what type of tint they used?

What type of warranty do they offer?

We should try to get a meet going in Vancouver some time in the summer. I don't have any mods done to my car yet but it would be cool just to meet up with some people with Lancer's.

Did you have a chance to get the name of the shop? I was going to go to a 3M authorized dealer in Vancouver. They gave me a price of $225.00. I asked for all 5 windows and they gave me that price. Then I double checked the price and they said $329.00 which was way more than I was expecting.

Hmm...you can tint all five windows in Vancouver? I thought it was illegal to tint the windshield and the two front windows? Anyone know the car tinting laws for Vancouver?

It is illegal to have the front two tinted. The back windows can have any % but cars dont look good with the front windows not tinted so Ill take my chances. I am going with light tinting on all windows. 35%

Hmm...any special procedures to not get caught by the cops besides having your front windows rolled down always when driving?

Only thing is to just roll down the windows if you see a cop. Another thing is dont go really dark on the front windows. The lighter it is the less they will care.

Should look fine but if you were going with that close of a % I would just go the same one all around.

I wont say they wont care...

Its up to you. You take a chance of getting a warning and have it taken off or getting a ticket and having to get it taken off.
