yellow evo.. not in the states...56k warning

I was in a subaru forum, and came across a post with these pics...
a evo with with a ONTARIO plate...





Last time i read the posts in this forum.. evo are not permitted in Canada legally.. but htis one jsut carries the ontario license plate...

Why do I have the feeling there are going to be some pissed off canadians?

Back before they amended the list at the RIV you could bring them in no problem. Acutally up to about October of '03. That's probably how. Or it's in here on a Schedule 7 (I think) where it's allowed in Canada for up to two years then must be sent back. But I'm not sure you can insure it with CDN plates that way. :/

Those are dealer plates. That Evo is Owned by Mits Canada which is in Mississauga.

yeah, with the dealer plates and the low wing it's the one that sat outside the cooksville entrance on the mini-meet, right?

Yes, its the same one. This is the one I took during our mini meet. Plate's the same.

Im pretty sure that there are some evo's that snuck across before they were deamed inadmissable.



I hope this doesnt start another "I want an Evo", "I'm going to ship all the parts up and make a kit car", or "I'm going to do the Evo engine swap" Thread.

i have a red evo 7, but it's only 1:64 scale or something like that, and runs the quarter mile in 2 minutes, provided it doesn't run out of batteries.

Can't you bring an Evo into Canada with the appropriate few modifications to make it street legal here? Or is this old news? lol

I just saw a white evo in mississauga like a week or two ago. In the area of Dundas St and Mississauga Rd. I think there isa few evos here in canada.
