Personally I have not seen anyone have it hard wired in if that is what you are asking about and most people don't leave them out 24/7.

The AP is made to be removable to put away so that it is not something always sitting out that could catch a thief's attention for example or be in the way. It is a great tool for when you need to check thing and do tuning, but probably not worth keeping out and up the whole time.

Let me know if you have any other questions

Thanks,
Dallin

Have a couple friends that have them set up to be plugged in each time them drive their cars so they can be used for boost gauges. They do unplug every time they turn off the car because it does stay on as long as it is plugged in and will either burn into thier screen or drain the battery.

I normally only plug mine in when driving and just to monitor knock and boost levels to make sure my motor isn't going to implode.

Probably not a good idea to leave it in all the time. How do you like it so far?

I always use mine as a boost gauge when I drive but put it away when I park

Make sure you have the right year and all that mess. Is it fully updated?
