Feels like I'm going in circles scaling my MAF and MAP :(

2013 Evo GSR
93 octane, TBE, AMS Intake, Grimmspeed 3-port EBCS, Cobb AP v3.

Long story short, I thought I had scaled my MAF pretty well, and then began working on scaling my MAP sensor. The car was going pig rich trying to scale my MAP to get the MAPCalcs close to MAFCalcs.

I decided after hours of beating myself up to revisit the MAF scaling yet again. I set ATR to use MAF only and started logging and it seems like I just can't win. Sometimes the AFRs are on point, and sometimes they're off and either need to increase or decrease the particular cells for that MAF voltage.

Am I being too **** to try and get my actual AFRs spot on with my target AFRs? That's what I was trying to do with the MAF. But them if I go to scale my MAP afterwards and disable the MAF - the car is stupid rich! So basically, I can either seperately get the MAF and MAP to get close to target AFR and ignore each other; or if I try to scale the MAPCalc to be close to MAFCalcs, it's crazy rich on MAP.

I've tried part-throttle pulls and holding different boost levels, and full throttle pulls and it seems I get differences in my outputs. For instance, I may have the MAF scaled 100% perfect according to my logs on a part-throttle pull, but then if I do a full throttle pull and hit those same MAF Voltages, it might be 2-8% off.. I'm lost. *misses tuning old IX.

So frustrated. What am I doing wrong here guys? Here's what I am doing:

1) disable map and scale MAF so actual AFRs are hiting target AFRs
2) re-enable map and disable MAF. Scale to get mapcalcs as close to mafcalcs as possible.

Problem is... When running just on map it is pig rich if I try to target mafcalcs.
Should I do this, or...

1) disable map and scale MAF so actual AFRs are hiring target AFRs.
2) re-enable map and disable MAF. scale map so that target AFRs and actual AFRs are as close as possible ignoring map and MAF calcs.

Or is this all wrong? In which case can someone school me please? Thanks in advance.

How exactly are you disabling the maf and map? Are you just unplugging them?

No. I am using the toggles and access tuner race options

Ah, I am still familiarizing myself with the software.

My actual AFR's are pretty far off from target, to date I have only adjusted the maf scaling to bring down the LTFT's and it has resulted in actual AFR's getting a lot closer to the target AFR's in the fuel map

I will try out what you are doing this weekend and see if I come up with the same results on my car.

I will report back in a few days.
