What RPM are you fast runners shifting?

I raced at Rock Falls raceway in WI.... this was my first drag race experience and I was told by over 50 people the track isnt prepped for **** making all readings around .3-.5 secs slower than on a decent track. My best time was a 13.701 @ 101 mph with a 1.85 60'. The car is bone stock running 19lbs. I thinking I am launching it well considering the track has no traction so I just spin my tires through half of 1st.... on a decent track I would expect to be in the 1.7 range. I want to get a higher trap though so I am gonna take the exhaust off next time I run and try running 20-21 lbs. My question is what RPM are people shifting at? Most of my runs were at 7k from 1-2 and 2-3 then 3-4 at 6.5k. Should I keep this shifting pattern or shift earlier or hold it to 7k in third before I shift? Thanks guys!

Ditto 7k shifts untill you get cams, then a little higher will be best.

I have cams and 7k still seemed to work best, made about 35 passes playing with launch and shift points. I am still on the stock turbo till next week so then I am sure it will all change after that. BTW, nice time on the EMS, Dave from BR keeps telling me to get it.

I wish I could of hit 13's my first time, but my best time was only 14.17 at a track in Oregon. I was launching at 4K. I found I was in-between 3rd and 4th gears on the last couple of feet. If I were to hold 3rd gear I was afraid of over-running the redline.

I was there for this... I had the Yellow Evo, I'm assuming yours was the black one with the Kayser license plate surround on it.. I kept looking for you to find out your mods, but you were never around... What were they? I saw the intake...

I have heard nothing but bad things about that track being slow too... It was my second time up there. My best was a 13.67x at 100.3 mph... I am running Vishnu stage sub 0.

I think for that run I was shifting at about 7200rpm. Don't take my word for that being good though, this was only my second time drag racing.

Edit for actual best time...

RT .643
60' 1.903
330' 5.588
1/8 8.685
MPH 78.41
1000' 11.373
1/4 13.634
MPH 100.03
