I have the rev-limit set to 8000, and shift at 7800 in each gear.

Another thing is that I will loose some mph in the 1/4 due to gearing, but will make up more on the ET side. This is one of the reasons you will see RWD cars with a gear run great times for the mph compaired to Evo's or DSM's.

ok...now it makes since....cause really you should be prolly at 10.6 or so at prolly 133 or so ...maybe a tad less mph if you can keep those crazy 1.5 60fts....i thought my 1.622 was good....lol Also i gain 29.8mph or so on the back 1/8th and only am trapping 92mph vs. your 102mph in the 8th....its so weird...lol

I have mine set at 8200, I was actually hitting the limiter right when I would cross the finish line in 4th gear, I usually shift the car around 8000rpms with stock bottom end and head minus the hks cams. I have been running it like that for about 10000 miles with no problems yet.

Edit: I am also very interested in the shorter gearing any info you can pm me would be great.

so you have a standalone right? Do you run no maf? What about stock intake manifold and throttle body?

I run speed density off of the Autronic EMS, along with the stock intake manifold and throttle body. Also, I will send you a pm with the info and pricing for the gear box options. -Cosmo

The header and downpipe was done by Devo Tuning, and the testpipe and catback is AMS.

Will a taller gear ratio help our cars on the hwy. It seem like when you shift from 4th to 5th the car does not pull as hard. I want to build a hwy monster but the gear ratio does not seem right for my purpose. Maybe a AMS gt35 would help my topend .
