Teach Me To Launch
Okay, I know I'll probably get ripped on for this, but I've found evoM to be a great community thusfar. I'm new to driving stick- but very capable and I've been practicing on my friend's civic; in addition, I'm looking to purchase an '04 Ralliart soon.
My question I'm assuming is simple, what's the best way to launch your car off the line? I'd prefer more specific and thoroughly explained descriptions, if made specific for the '04 Ralliart it would be even better.
Please no flames or comments lacking in description... I'm just looking for some straightforward and honest help from the community, thanks!

^ dude he is getting a Ralliart not an EVO ......
What he said above but this time the RPMs dont' have to be so high .... may be around 4000rpm ... you'll have to experiment with the RPM to find out what gives you the best times ....

okay i just got back from sac raceway tonight and the best i could pull in my ralli art was a 15.7 and that was taking off normal, every time i tried to launch hard i got 16.1- 16.3 , basicly the car would burn all of 1st and catch in 2nd, I think you are supposed to rev and hold it around 2600 and then let out the clutch and nail it, I was practicing on the street at stop signs and it seemed to be fast, too bad the track is closed for the rest of the year, I will have to wait and try again after the rain stops, but better than stock tires will also help out a lot.
