When you guys are crossing the finish line on a 1/4 mile track, what gear are you in, 4th????? Also there about in 4th, are you shifting into 4th as you cross the line? Or are you like midway thru 4th when you cross

4th , I think 4th hits fuelcut at about 117 mph stock rev limter

 

^ I believe this is correct. With my TT flash I can ride 4th to 120 at about 7200 rpm.

5th gear

 

Good lord, I got an EVO engine in my Galant with a 5 speed front wheel drive tranny. I had it out last nite, I can run 3rd gear to 115mph before I need to shift to 4th. I havent tried going high into 4th because I was already at 125 MPH+ on a street with a 50mph speed limit. Damn I cant wait to go to the track.

I keep it in 4th to 129 mph traps, I believe I'm near the 8k range... rpms go so fast it's hard to tell

 

Yeah I gotta upload them from my camera which isnt here right now. Tubro Will are you on the EVO-NY site at all??? There are some older pics up there in the Evo General area under the topic "EVO motor in a galant" a couple of the EVO-ny guys have seen it in person too.
