I'll tell you what, if we had a West vs. East Evo shootout the East would spank us.

^I hate to admit it, but your probably right. I can only think of one 10 second EVO, maybe there is another but I don't know who. There is a grip of a 11 second EVOs though, but then again there is a grip of them on the eastcoast too.

rnr has some mega HP cars, I have heard of 10 or more GT35R California evo's alone. Those guys mainly stick to the socalevos.com site. For some reason though, west coast guys are more into autoX and road racing then drag.

There's a guy here in AZ who just moved here who ownes his own shop- has a 4G64 block and the AMS GT35R kit. He's likely 10's with the quaiffe he recently installed.

Exactly, we are talking about 10s while our Evo bretheren east of the Mississippi are talking about 9s. You are also right about the road racing. I want my car (if not the driver ) to be competent at both drag and road racing. My goals are a little different therefore. I'll be happy with my car if it can do consistent low 11s/125-129mph.

My hat goes off to those willing to put their money and reputation on the line to push their cars to the limit.

AL of Dynoflash- 10.2@??????, 10.3@??????, & 10.4@?????? (Trap Speeds in the 133 and 134MPH area) AL plans on posting time slips soon
Curt Brown- 10.4@138MPH
AMS Shop Car- 10.4@144MPH
Evodave- 11.3@125MPH (Best MPH was 127MPH)
Pure Motorsports- 11.?@120MPH
Fourdoor- 11.8@120MPH
Smiley- 11.9@114MPH

Anymore info, any other EVOs run in the 10s, 11s, and 12s??
And let's not forget that Devotuning Mirage that beat Al the first round of the Evo finals ... which unfortunately was on a sportsman tree. Yusuf was asked to run Al again on a Pro tree and unfortunately red light thanks to a very "long" wait once staged. But as Yusuf said, he still took great pleasure in showing Al a set of blinking tail-lights.

You must be halucinating

The Deeveotuning car - which IMHO should not even be allowed to compete in the same class with USA Evo 8's - (but that is another story for another day) raced against the PRUVEN EVO with black flames in the 1st round and the TRACK mistakenly gave them a sportsman tree so the TRACK decided to give the PRUVEN EVO another chance.

When I raced Yusuf fo rthe 1st time that day in the final he took off LONG before even the yellow lights came on and throw a red light - through NO ONE's fault expect himself

In any event - I had his time covered in every respect - despite the fact that my car weighs nearly 600 lbs more

So Al, what are your plans for the shootout this weekend? GT40? NOS?

Al, sorry for the mix up ... I left at 4PM so this was hear say. I know Yusuf is having issues signing up to Evolutionm, let me see if he wants to comment - he might use my signon to do so. Nevertheless, congrats on the win.

The PURE Tuning car is mine, I ran against EVODave in elim's. Good race dave. My car is still getting shook out just finished it up last week . Finishing my fuel and Ignition upgrade as we speak. The cars best so far is a 11.34 @ 122 @20psi. I turned up the boost to 25 for Sunday and the ignition couldn't take it misfiring bad in the high revs. Went 11.7x @ 120.x against dave. Hoping to finish it up and join everybody in Jersey to work over some Subaru's. and join the 10 sec club as well.

I am just happy to have a win.

Finding my intake manifold split down the back seam again today was really frustrating, on my 10.2 run the boost was falling down 6 psi in 4th gear. I could have prob broke my old non nos record if not for the new crack.

Its a huge honor to win the DSM shootout and I am not second guessing anything!

BTW - I was reading the drama on the CT dsm board and for the record - I ran my own car in the NHRA spring nationals when I drove 9.98, I had no nos on the car what so ever, and I do 90% of the work on the car in my home garage on jack stands. Thanks for your support on those boards.
