Absolutley the 60' times are the one clear indication to why I have noticed soem people have had times that could easilly be a half second or so better.
Remember, one of the main reasons the evo is able to attain solid times is because of there Awd and ability to launch well and have a 1.7-1.8 60'

1) 60' 60' 60'...I repeat, 60'. This is the most important factor in obtaining a good time and to ensure maximum mph. Get to where you can launch hard enough to obtain a 1.7x 60', or at the VERY LEAST a low 1.8. This will drop your ET anywhere from .2-.4s and probably give you 1-2 mph depending on other factors.
2) Was the custom tune done after the intake/catback/mbc installs? Just want to make sure.
3)Yeah, replacing the catback and downpipe always helps, but it's best to maximize your current state instead of trying to fix it by adding mods. When you do that, you're still always below your potential. Don't think for a second that a cat-back is not good enough to get good times. My best time below is with the same mods you have except for the higher octane. On pump gas, I did 12.64 with 107-108mph. I have the advantage of the larger hotside, but you can probably get to 105-106mph and maybe a 12.8 or 12.9 with your current mods and some practice.

i dont powershift i lift and clutch in to the next gear banging it as quick as i can and shifting about 7600 to 7800 rpm , launching around 5000 rpm i think watching that tree i need to pay more attention to my launch rpm and not get caught up on the actual race against the other car

7000rpm shift = too early
7500rpm shift = too late
This is on a car with stock turbo and stock cams only...
On the launch, completely ignore the other car. It doesn't matter what he does when you're just doing test 'n' Tune. Once you get launching down pat, then you can start worrying about reaction times and beating your opponents.

the last 1/8th mile isn't bad (once you get going, your car moves well), but the 1st 1/8th you could easily drop .4-.5 sec and .2 from the 60'. In other words, like everyone is saying the launch could improve, and I think from the 1/8th time it looks like the 1-2 shift could be better too. When you're going WOT from a stop, the car goes through 1st gear pretty fast, so it takes a bit of practice to be ready for the "perfect shift" into 2nd. You should definitely be in the 12s with a better start
